Churchill County got themselves on the board against North Valleys on Friday, but North Valleys never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 44-0. The win continues a trend for the Greenwave in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won five in a row.

Matthew Bird had an outrageously good game as he threw for 296 yards and five TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. A healthy portion of Bird's aerial production (98 yards to be exact) went to Calin Anderson, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Churchill County's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Valleys, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Churchill County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 43-0 win against South Tahoe on the 29th. As for North Valleys, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-7 loss against Galena on the 29th.
