With a playoff game on the line, the Lincoln Wolves rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 39-28 win over Heber Springs. The win was just what Lincoln needed coming off of a 54-0 loss in their prior match.
Kale Jones had a dynamite game for Lincoln, rushing for 154 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for two yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Jace Birkes did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Lincoln has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Heber Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
Lincoln will square off against Ozark at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ozark is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. Heber Springs will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Lonoke at 7:00 a.m. on December 10th. Lonoke is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
