Clayton will be defending their home turf for the first time on Thursday when they go up against University City at 6:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the game is expected to be close.
Everything went Clayton's way against Gateway Tech last Friday as they made off with a 33-0 win. Clayton was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-40, which was the final score in University City's tilt against Hazelwood East last week. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but University City was outplayed in the second half.
Clayton's victory lifted them to 2-0 while University City's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Clayton can add another positive mark to their record or if University City can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Clayton's step.
