As a matter of fact, Lake Belton put up the most points they have all season on Thursday. They breezed past Chaparral to the tune of 53-20. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won three contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Belton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Arrington Alexander, who rushed for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Alexander also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Broncos are 2-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 3-4 otherwise. Christian Onchweri got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Lake Belton proved: they limited Chaparral to a paltry 3.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Gavin Owens for the heroic effort on defense: he. Lake Belton's ground attack was stronger, having averaged 5.4.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Lake Belton, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Onchweri, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Highland Park came tearing into Friday's game with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 42-28 win over the Panthers.
Highland Park's win came from a few key players Lake Belton will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Harrison Cullum, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two scores. Another player making a difference was Cannon Bozman, who picked up 60 receiving yards and one TD.
