Desert View hasn't had much luck against Flowing Wells recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Jaguars will head out on the road to face off against the Caballeros at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Flowing Wells will be up against a hot Desert View team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Jaguars were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Empire on Wednesday. Considering the Jaguars have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Orlando Pinedo was incredible, firing off three home runs, 11 RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-3. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Oscar Quijada, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Desert View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Flowing Wells). They blew past Amphitheater 26-2 on Wednesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Caballeros with their most commanding win of the season.
Flowing Wells got a massive performance out of Oscar Murillo, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The Caballeros are 2-0-1 when Murillo posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Josiah Kehoe also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.
Desert View pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Flowing Wells, their record is now 6-11-1.
Flowing Wells' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Desert View hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .371. It's a different story for Flowing Wells, though, as they've only averaged .222. Will they be able to contain Desert View's hitters?
Everything went Desert View's way against Flowing Wells in their previous meeting on Tuesday, as Desert View made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
