The Matoaca Warriors will be playing at home against the L.C. Bird Skyhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Matoaca focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Friday.
Matoaca unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak. They suffered a tough 49-28 loss at the hands of Dinwiddie. Matoaca has not had much luck with Dinwiddie recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Montino Williams jr, who rushed for 105 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown.
Meanwhile, L.C. Bird had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 20-10 win over Midlothian on Friday.
La'Tavion Lowe was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Lowe was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Sha?heym Dugger also helped out with an impressive 87 receiving yards.
With Matoaca's defeat and Dinwiddie's win, both teams now sport identical 7-3 records.
