Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Governor Mifflin). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 51-14 win over the Pocono Mountain West Panthers.
Governor Mifflin found their leader in freshman Jack Miller, who rushed for 80 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only seven carries.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jerel Sims, who threw for 107 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 62 yards. Pocono Mountain West also got help from Brady Behr, who showed off his sure hands for 80 receiving yards.
Governor Mifflin's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-7. As for Pocono Mountain West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
As of now, neither Governor Mifflin nor Pocono Mountain West have any future games scheduled.
