The Wesclin Warriors lost against the Carlyle Indians/Lady Indians back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wesclin suffered a rough 66-41 defeat at the hands of the Indians/Lady Indians. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wesclin in their matchups with the Indians/Lady Indians: they've now lost seven in a row.
Leading Carlyle to victory were Emma Meyer and Sophia Hoffmann. Meyer scored 21 points along with five rebounds, while Hoffmann dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lera Schmeink, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
Wesclin has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season. As for Carlyle, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.
Wesclin will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Oilers at 7:00 p.m. As for Carlyle, they will head out on the road to face off against the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
