Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Taylor Booker and Tierra Vandiver Lead Augusta Christian to Victory

Augusta Christian won the last time they faced Aquinas and things went their way on Monday too. The Augusta Christian Lions came out on top against the Aquinas Fightin' Irish by a score of 53-41. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Fightin' Irish are ranked 263rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Augusta Christian was led to victory by Tierra Vandiver and Taylor Booker. Vandiver posted 16 points, while Booker put up 13 points. The dominant performance gave Vandiver a new career-high in points. Marielle Willis was another key player, putting up seven points.

Augusta Christian is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Aquinas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.
