Basketball Recap: Central Skates Past North Miami Beach with Ease

Central won the last time they faced North Miami Beach and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Central Rockets breezed by the North Miami Beach Chargers to the tune of 68-39. The contest marked the Rockets' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Central had a senior duo take command as Keri Foster went 8 of 9 on his way to 18 points along with seven boards and six assists and Justin Suarez went 9 of 18 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foster has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Gregoire, who posted seven points and three steals.

North Miami Beach's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mateo Zamora, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 12 points. Another player making a difference was Jeremy Gerffarad, who had six points and five rebounds.

Central pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points per game. As for North Miami Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Dade Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Dade Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for North Miami Beach, they will square off against Dr. Krop at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dr. Krop has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
