On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Braeden Calkins, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Baker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Massena was a bit more limited in their contest last Thursday. They fell just short of Ogdensburg Free Academy by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since April 30, 2024.

Plattsburgh's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's game. The Hornets have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.9 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Massena, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Plattsburgh continue to outrun the ball?
Plattsburgh skirted past Massena 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
