For the second straight game, Bloom will face off against Thornton. The Blazing Trojan will challenge the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bloom is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.4 runs per game this season.
Bloom took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over Thornton. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blazing Trojan needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.
Mateo Munoz made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three runs and two RBI. He has become a key player for Bloom: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 8-12 otherwise.
