Southampton put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season  on Thursday. They blew past the Sussex Central Tigers 15-5. Southampton's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
  Landon Cushing made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out six batters over  four innings while giving up just two earned  (and two unearned) runs off   two  hits. Cushing was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 In other pitching news,  Levi Butler looked comfortable as he  pitched  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Adin Brown and  Riland Aldrich did most of the damage at the plate:  Brown  scored a  run and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Aldrich  scored three  runs while going 3-for-3.  Kingston Brooks was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances.
 Southampton has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won eight of their last nine games,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season. As for Sussex Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.
 As of now, neither Southampton nor Sussex Central have any future games scheduled.
