After a string of five wins, The Phoenixville Phantoms''s good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 38-21 bruising from Pope John Paul II. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Phoenixville in their matchups with Pope John Paul II: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several Phantoms players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sam Moore, who rushed for 70 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Deacon Williams, who rushed for 148 yards while picking up 8.7 yards per carry.
Phoenixville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Pope John Paul II, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Phoenixville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Pope John Paul II is also done with their season.
