The South Carroll Cavaliers lost against the Linganore Lancers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. South Carroll fell 62-50 to Linganore. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for South Carroll in their matchups with Linganore: they've now lost nine in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Linganore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Hodgson, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was Hodgson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Petruzzello, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
South Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Linganore, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
South Carroll has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Rockville at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th. Linganore won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th. Frederick knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Linganore likes a good challenge.
