Basketball Recap: All Saints Episcopal School Takes a Loss

All Saints Episcopal School lost against San Jacinto Christian Academy back in December of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The All Saints Episcopal School Patriots took a blow against the San Jacinto Christian Academy Patriots, falling 63-16. All Saints Episcopal School was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.

Despite the loss, All Saints Episcopal School saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lauren Brashear posted 11 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. That was a full 68.8% of All Saints Episcopal School's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

All Saints Episcopal School is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

All Saints Episcopal School wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-44 win against Kingdom Prep Academy on the 3rd. As for San Jacinto Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on All Saints Episcopal School at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
