The Intrinsic Mustangs were the 25-12 winner over the Uplift Titans when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Intrinsic fell just short of Uplift by a score of 48-45. It was the first time this season that Intrinsic let down their fans at home.
Despite the defeat, Intrinsic had strong showings from America Escalera, who scored 19 points, and Aniyah Wiggins, who scored 16 points. Wiggins scored a full 35.6% of Intrinsic's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Dezanique Riley was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Intrinsic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-2. As for Uplift, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6.
Intrinsic will square off against Alcott at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alcott comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Uplift, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legal Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
