Northwestern has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Thursday. They will take on the High Point Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Northwestern had to suffer through a rough 84-40 loss at the hands of DuVal. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northwestern in their matchups with DuVal: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, High Point's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They received a tough blow as they fell 59-43 to Parkdale. High Point found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and rack up 12 fewer assists than your opponent.
Despite the loss, High Point had strong showings from Ibrahim Turay, who scored 18 points along with five steals, and Kadan Solomonraj, who scored 13 points. The matchup was Turay's third in a row with at least ten points.
Northwestern's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for High Point, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3.
Northwestern skirted past High Point 53-50 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northwestern since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
