Lake Fenton is 10-0 against Owosso since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Lake Fenton Blue Devils will head out on the road to face off against the Owosso Trojans at 5:30 p.m. Lake Fenton is looking to tack on another W to their 16-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Lake Fenton stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 74-35 win over Clio on the road. Given Lake Fenton's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Clio is ranked 330th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lake Fenton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Savannah "sj" fellenbaum out in front who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Anna Prevost was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Owosso scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Brandon, posting a 69-29 victory at home. The victory was just what Owosso needed coming off of a 54-33 loss in their prior game.
Lake Fenton is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Owosso, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Everything came up roses for Lake Fenton against Owosso in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 68-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Fenton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
