After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincoln County, Southwestern was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Clinton County Bulldogs a 10-0 shutout. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by eight runs or more this season.
Jackson Couch made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Couch was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Dylan Roberts was incredible, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Jayden Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
