After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ravenscroft, the North Raleigh Christian Academy Knights were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They walked away with a 60-53 win over Cardinal Gibbons.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Raleigh Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cody Dickerson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. Brennen Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Cardinal Gibbons saw an underclassman step up: Aiden Smalls scored 26 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smalls has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronny Turner, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and six assists.
North Raleigh Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Cardinal Gibbons, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
North Raleigh Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Oak Forest at 6:30 p.m. One thing working in Oak Forest's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they will head out on the road to challenge Enloe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Enloe is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 52.3 points per game.
