Softball Recap: Otsego Has No Trouble Against Plainwell

While Otsego didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-7), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by an 18-2 margin over the Plainwell Trojans on Tuesday. That looming 18-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Otsego pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Plainwell, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Otsego and Plainwell will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on Edwardsburg at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Plainwell, their break will end when they face Paw Paw at 4:00 p.m. on the 15th.
