Even though the Decatur Golden Gators scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, the Beamer Titans still came out on top. Beamer blew past Decatur 87-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Beamer.
Caleb Berry had a dynamite game for Beamer, scoring 29 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Berry has scored at least 25% of Beamer's points. Dominic Simpson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Decatur's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tra'Veah Alford, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jaliel Anderson, who scored 17 points.
Beamer's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Decatur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
