The Clearview Clippers and the South Range Raiders squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Clearview Clippers had to settle for second. Clearview had to suffer through a rough 48-21 loss at the hands of South Range. Clearview's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
When it comes to explaining why Clearview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Ethan Lorenzana. Despite the final result, he picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Clearview's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for South Range, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with that victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Clearview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. South Range will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
