Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cheyenne). They snuck past the Bonanza Bengals with a 60-54 victory on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Desert Shields as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Cheyenne was led to victory by Phoenix Dalton and Jason Eagles. Dalton dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten assists, while Eagles dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards. Elias Santos-Brown was another key player, putting up nine points along with five rebounds and five steals.

Cheyenne's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Bonanza, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Cheyenne didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 90-23 loss against Rancho on the 9th. As for Bonanza, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-67 defeat against Valley on the 11th.
