Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Normandy walked away with it. They walked away with a 56-49 win over John Hay on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for the Invaders as they're now sitting on five straight.
Normandy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lindsay Meriwether led the charge by putting up 15 points. Meriwether continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Keilei Anderson, who posted 13 points.
John Hay lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Amare Buchanan, who put up 11 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Webb, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 14 rebounds.
Normandy's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for John Hay, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-7.
Normandy has already played their next matchup, a 58-23 loss against Magnificat on the 22nd. John Hay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
