Basketball Recap: Mountain Brook Extends Winning Streak to Five

Mountain Brook had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They took down the Indian Hill Braves 62-43. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 15th in Alabama, while the Braves are ranked 430th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mountain Brook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Indian Hill, they now have a losing record at 3-4.

Mountain Brook and Somerset Academy will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Indian Hill, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Eastside at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
