Baseball Recap: Bob Hope Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Bob Hope's offense. They came up short against the Cristo Rey Jesuit Lions on Friday, falling 10-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Bob Hope saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dante Chapa, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Chapa has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Bob Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the victory was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Bob Hope will head out to challenge Texas Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, they will face off against Kingwood Christian Life Center Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
