Kirtland added to the longest winning streak in Chagrin Valley - Valley this week by beating Bishop Ready, 10-7. The victory was the 14th in a row for the team.
Kirtland and the Silver Knights played the closest game in the league this week, with Kirtland eventually emerging with a 10-7 victory. Sam Kukura threw for 73 yards and ran for 100 yards during the win.
Kirtland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sam Skiljan has thrown for 1,334 yards and 19 touchdowns this season, while Matthew Finkler has 27 catches for 549 yards.
Tiger (Phillip) Laverde's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 472 from 710. The improvement was largely due to a 10-7 victory over Bishop Ready last week.
