Meanwhile, Ocean View Christian came into Friday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Cristo Rey on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory.
High Tech CV better focus on containing Abby Ducharme and Tori Worthington as the pair were huge in Ocean View Christian's win. Ducharme had nine digs, eight aces, six kills, and four blocks, while Worthington had 11 kills, eight aces, and four digs. Ducharme is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lyla Crosby, who had seven aces and three digs.
Ocean View Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 44 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 21 consecutive matches dating back to last season.
Ocean View Christian's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for High Tech CV, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.
