The Orlando Christian Prep Warriors will head out on the road to face off against the Geneva Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Orlando Christian Prep sitting on five straight victories and Geneva on eight.
Orlando Christian Prep gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victor by a 15-5 margin over Calvary Chapel Academy. Considering the Warriors have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Eli Embriz was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Embriz was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jorge Martinez was a standout: he scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Carter Reis was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Orlando Christian Prep was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .441. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Chapel Academy only posted a batting average of .280.
Meanwhile, everything went Geneva's way against Merritt Island Christian on Thursday as Geneva made off with an 11-1 win. Considering the Knights have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jeremiah Kavanah made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Tyson Hilliard was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Shaw, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Geneva pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Orlando Christian Prep, their record is now 6-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Orlando Christian Prep has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Geneva struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
