The Conrad Weiser Scouts''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cocalico. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Conrad Weiser in their matchups with Cocalico: they've now lost five in a row.
Conrad Weiser's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sevon Parham, who rushed for 122 yards. Another player making a difference was Donovan Gingrich, who threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns.
Cocalico found their leader in underclassman P. Dane Horning, who rushed for 214 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Horning was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards.
Conrad Weiser's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.3 points per game. As for Cocalico, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Conrad Weiser does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cocalico also has no future games currently scheduled.
