Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Kimball). They really took it to the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-0 victory. Kimball's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles McCuin, who rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. The Knights are 4-1 when McCuin posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Another pass catcher making a difference was Javion Broussard, who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Kimball didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keilon Evans and Ace Aguilar. Kimball received some extra help from Sean Robinson, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Kimball pushed their record up to 5-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
