The Edgewater Eagles will take on the Lake Buena Vista Vipers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Edgewater lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Wekiva, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's contest. Everything went Edgewater's way against Wekiva on Wednesday as Edgewater made off with a 12-1 win. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tanner Johnson tossed a big game, not allowing a single hit, allowed only an earned run over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

The victory was the third in a row for Edgewater, bringing their record for this year to 4-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 runs over those games. As for Lake Buena Vista, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Edgewater was able to grind out a solid victory over Lake Buena Vista in their previous meeting back in April of 2023, winning 8-4. Will Edgewater repeat their success, or does Lake Buena Vista have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
