Basketball Recap: Alexander Buduen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pinecrest Glades Academy

There's no place like home for Pinecrest Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 54-45 win over the Pinecrest Glades Academy Dragons on Monday.

Pinecrest Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexander Buduen, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Those 13 points gave Buduen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Rivero, who posted 20 points.

Pinecrest Glades Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ronnie Rivero, who had 15 points. Rivero is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Miguel Diaz was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Pinecrest Prep has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Pinecrest Prep has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against International Studies on the 16th. As for Pinecrest Glades Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-34 loss against Cushman on the 15th.
