In what's become a running theme this season, the Rockwell Marshals gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-19 victory over Merit Preparatory Academy at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Rockwell has posted against Merit Preparatory Academy since December 7, 2020.
Despite the loss, Merit Preparatory Academy still got an impressive performance from Lizbeth Diaz, who scored six points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Diaz posted two or more blocks.
Rockwell pushed their record up to 12-6 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.
Rockwell will head out on the road to face off against Utah Military Academy - Hill Field at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Merit Preparatory Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wasatch Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wasatch Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
