Kamiakin hasn't had much luck against Richland recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Braves will take on the Bombers at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kamiakin comes in on four and Richland on seven.
While Kamiakin's victory against Kennewick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Braves skirted past the Lions 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Braves have posted since May 2, 2025.

Lizzie O'Leary was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Harley Worster and Cailyn Grandeen did most of the damage at the plate: Worster went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs, while Grandeen went a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave Grandeen a new career-high. Layla Kraft also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Kamiakin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kennewick struck out six times.
Meanwhile, Richland got the win against Sageview on Tuesday by a conclusive 20-2. Fans of the Bombers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Like Kamiakin, Richland also got a great game from a two-way player: Emmalee Mohr. Throwing, Mohr tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Ali Evans pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Mohr went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Evans got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, five stolen bases, and four runs.
In other batting news, Richland got a massive performance out of Jordan Brannon, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlett Hudon, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Kamiakin's record is now 5-2. As for Richland, their record now sits at 7-0.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Kamiakin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .418. However, it's not like Richland struggles in that department as they've averaged .559. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
