After a string of four wins, Flatonia's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell 8-4 to the Weimar Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 back in March.
Flatonia saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynlee Zimmerman, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Zimmerman is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Abbie Uzzell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Flatonia's loss dropped their record down to 11-8-1. As for Weimar, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.
