The Dwight-Englewood Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-51 to River Dell. Dwight-Englewood was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as River Dell apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
River Dell's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sean Golden, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. Golden is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Liam Hickey, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Dwight-Englewood's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for River Dell, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.
Dwight-Englewood will be playing at home against Pioneer Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for River Dell, they will head out on the road to square off against Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
