Bethel Christian has won five straight games at home, while United Christian Academy has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Kings will host the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Bethel Christian has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bethel Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Calvary Baptist just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 16-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Kings have suffered since February 25th.

Bethel Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaila Ellison, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Ellison is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last eight games she's played.
Meanwhile, United Christian Academy never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against La Sierra Academy as they made off with a 21-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven contests by nine runs or more so far this season.
Lariah Avila made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and one double. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Sofia Barcelo was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kirin Barcelo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.
United Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 15.2.
United Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Bethel Christian, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-7.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bethel Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .598. However, it's not like United Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .561. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bethel Christian took their victory against United Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-7 score. Do the Kings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
