The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will square off against the Tri-County Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Kouts is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 2, 2024 on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 10-8 victory over Morgan Township.

Bailey went 2-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Tikalsky went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was Tikalsky's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Gronek, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Kouts lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Tri-County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Cavaliers, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Tri-County's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Kouts, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
