Harrison Leachman ran for two touchdowns and
Logan Soole added three as well as
Monarch (Louisville, Colo.) defeated George Washington (Denver, Colo.) 56-15 on Saturday.
The Coyotes were up 42-0 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Soole in the first quarter.
Monarch put up 36 points in the first quarter en route to the win. MHS scored on a Soole touchdown run, a touchdown run by Soole, a
Philip Bubernak touchdown run, a
Cole Watson touchdown pass to Soole and a touchdown run by Soole in the quarter.
Soole played well for the Louisville school in the victory. He caught one touchdown. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
Surae Poole played well for the Patriots. He ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored five touchdowns on the season.
The Coyotes had given up an average of 9.9 points prior to the contest. George Washington's 15 points were right around its season average of 17.4 per game.
The loss comes after George Washington defeated Golden 46-24 last week.
In a 4A Mountain game next week Monarch (7-1) takes on Broomfield, and George Washington (3-5) will go up against Standley Lake also in a 4A Mountain game.
