After a string of three wins, the Conway Christian Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Carolina Academy on the road and fell 61-34. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Conway Christian came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Carolina Academy is ranked 112th).
Despite the loss, Conway Christian still got an impressive performance from Wyatt Polatty, who scored 26 points. The game was Polatty's third in a row with at least ten points.
Conway Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Carolina Academy, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.
Conway Christian will look to defend their home court on Monday against Southeastern Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. Carolina Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on King's Academy at 8:00 p.m. on December 15th.
