Overbrook has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Middletown Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Overbrook beat Abraham Lincoln 59-50.
Overbrook's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Omar Davis, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 steals. Davis is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Nasir Kelly was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Middletown took their game at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 64-26 win over Newark. That looming 64-26 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Middletown yet this season.
Overbrook pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Middletown, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.
