Softball Recap: Oakridge Sets Scoring Season-High Against Elkton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Oakridge). They were the clear victors by a 28-7 margin over the Elkton Elks on Friday. The Warriors have beaten the Elks the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Elks has come to flipping the script.

The win got Oakridge back to even at 5-5. As for Elkton, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakridge will head out to face off against Central Linn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Cobras have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.83 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Elkton, they will head out on the road to take on Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Elks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Devils have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
