Madison Canada was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Mya Vasquez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Maddy Davila was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Benbrook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .769. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Eagle Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to Jacksboro.
Like Benbrook, Eagle Mountain also got a great game from a two-way player: Ashlyn Eggleton. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Eggleton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Eggleton wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Benbrook's victory bumped their record up to 19-12. As for Eagle Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 19-13-1.
Benbrook's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's game. The Bobcats have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Eagle Mountain, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Benbrook continue to outrun the ball?
