Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.) snapped the seven-game winning streak of
Palma (Salinas, Calif.), with a 28-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Kyle Evans in the first quarter, the Monarchs led 21-0 at the half.
Archbishop Mitty grew its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. AM's lone score in the quarter came on a
Chandler Ramirez touchdown run.
The San Jose school came into the game allowing 13.5 points per game.
The loss comes after Palma defeated San Benito 14-0 last week. The win was a nice bounce back for the Monarchs, who lost to Serra last week, 31-7.
