Two dominant  guards in  Ally Weathers and  Anna Haskins are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Loretto Mustangs will look to defend their home court  on Friday against the Community Vikings/Viqueens. Loretto will be looking to keep their 14-game home win streak alive.
 Last Saturday, Loretto was able to grind out a solid  win over Summertown, taking the game  59-50.
 It was another big night for  Weathers, who  scored 28 points.  Jenny Clifton was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points.
 Meanwhile, Community managed to keep up with Grundy County until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Community was the victim of a  tough 63-39 defeat at the hands of Grundy County. Community has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from  Alyssa White, who  scored 11 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haskins, who  scored eight points along with five  rebounds and two  steals.
 Loretto's victory bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Community, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18.
 Loretto was able to grind out a solid  victory over Community in their previous meeting  back in November of 2018, winning  62-49. Does  Loretto have another victory up their sleeve, or will Community turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
