It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Blue Ridge Tigers can now relate to. They took a 28-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of Scurry-Rosser on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Blue Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 723rd, while Scurry-Rosser is ranked 346th).
Scurry-Rosser had a senior duo take command as Kayden Bradshaw rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries and De'shawn Wren rushed for 61 yards and two touchdowns. Bradshaw's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards. Scurry-Rosser also got a significant boost from Ralph Miller, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Blue Ridge has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Scurry-Rosser, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Blue Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Scurry-Rosser will face off against Comanche at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Comanche knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Scurry-Rosser likes a good challenge.
