Cimarron-Memorial kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 3-0 to the Legacy Longhorns. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Longhorns from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Legacy found their leader in sophomore Manaia Williams, who had seven digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Williams. Raelene Miguel also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.
The victory snapped Legacy's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.
Coming up, Cimarron-Memorial will square off against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Legacy, they will take on Spring Valley at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th.
